Let’s Talk About Salt

There are a lot of misconceptions about salt. The goal isn’t to make your food taste salty—it’s to bring out the natural flavors that are already there. Used correctly, salt is one of the simplest ways to make a good dish even better.

One of my favorite ways to use it is a blend I make with small-batch sea salt from @newportseasalt, mixed with rosemary and thyme. It’s simple, versatile, and works beautifully on everything from steaks and chicken to roasted vegetables and potatoes.

The At Home Chef team and I create custom in-home dining experiences across Greater Cincinnati—from cozy date nights to full dinner parties. Every menu is thoughtfully crafted using seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local purveyors whenever possible. We handle everything from menu planning and shopping to cooking, service, and cleanup so you can relax, host with ease, and stay present with your guests.
