Our Specialty

To be epicurean means to be devoted to the enjoyment of good food and comfort. The At Home Chef specializes in creating intimate in-home fine dining experiences dedicated to this philosophy: that delicious meals and great company are some of the finest luxuries of our lifetime.

Intimate Experiences

Our in-home dinner experiences are designed for small groups of friends, family, or colleagues with fewer than 20 guests. All dinners start at $200.00 per person. For non-dinner events like wine tastings or daytime celebrations, we can accommodate a menu ‘small-bite’ hors-d’oeuvres for up to 100 people. All prices for those parties are determined by the number of guests and how much food will be needed.

Availability

We book as requested. During busy and holiday seasons, we often book months in advance for weekend dates. Be sure to reserve your day and time early to guarantee availability. You can check our schedule or request a date and time by contacting us.

Dietary Principles

Your menu should be a reflection of you. We can create vegan, vegetarian, and other specific dishes—or entire dinners—to respect your values and/or preferences.

Local Love

As much as possible, we will find ingredients for your meal at local farms, markets, and stores. When local sourcing is not possible, we will rely on trusted partners to provide high-quality food.

Visibility and Education

Some clients prefer that we be present to educate guests about the dinner being served. Others request that we exit before the arrival of guests. Our level of visibility is completely up to you and the type of experience you want to offer.

Full Service

The At Home Chef handles it all—from sourcing and prepping to cooking and serving every course of your unforgettable in-home dining experience. We bring all the cookware and dishes needed to craft a restaurant-quality meal right in your kitchen. When the last bite is savored, we take care of the rest—clearing the table, cleaning your kitchen, and even taking out the trash. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Our Process

Service- Pre-Event

  1. Consultation with Chef Ken which includes your objective for creating a One- Of A Kind In Home Dining Experience

  2. Design of custom menu based upon your needs

  3. Confirm arrival time for Chef Ken and your guests. Chef Ken and his team typically like to arrive one hour prior to your guests arrival time

Service- Day of Event

  1. Chef Ken and his team will arrive one hour prior to your guests which allows for ample set-up time

  2. In order to create a wonderful stress -free event will provide the following:

    • All dishes (for all menu courses); all pots, pans, etc. needed for cooking and preparing the dinner

    • Towels and cleaning supplies for clean-up after the event

  3. You will just need to set your table area with napkins, silverware and glassware. We are happy to set the table for you- so all you will need to do is put these items in an area we can assess

  4. We will prepare and service all courses based upon your timeline. Remember- this is about you and your guests having a wonderful time-so leave the work to us

  5. We will clear all dishes, tidy up and leave your kitchen clean as well as removing all trash

Beverages

1. The At Home Chef will not provide beverages. We can help with wine pairing suggestions but you will need to purchase the wines.

Billing

  1. Upon job completion we will send you an invoice via email that can be paid via credit card electronically. We can also accept personal checks the day of the event.

  2. Cost is $200 per person which will include the above services as well as your menu selections. This price typically includes the following courses:

    • Appetizer course (examples include but are not limited to- Meat & Cheese boards, Small bites etc.)

    • Soup or salad course

    • Main entrée

    • Dessert

  3. Additional courses or hard to source ingredients may be subject to an increased per person fee but Chef Ken will consult with you when designing the menu.
