Chef’s Tip: Selecting & Cooking Steak
Here’s a chef’s tip the next time you cook up a steak! 🥩🔪
Let your steak sit out for about 30 minutes before cooking, then pat it dry. I love getting my cast iron skillet white hot and starting with the fatty edge to render some of that fat before searing both sides for a beautiful crust. Give it time to develop that sear, then let it rest before slicing!
A great steak starts with great meat, and that’s why I love shopping at @eckerlinmeats at @findlaymarket. Generations of skill, tradition and knowledge, paired with exceptional customer service. These are people who truly care about their craft.
And if you’d rather leave the cooking to us, The At Home Chef team and I create custom in-home dining experiences across Greater Cincinnati. We handle everything from menu planning and shopping to cooking, service and cleanup.
